The following vacancies are available at the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra:
Manager Artistic Planning and Programming (fulltime)
You are a professional in the field of artistic planning and programming of classical music. You are part of the Management Team and will report directly to the CEO.
Who are we looking for?
• You like and have a comprehensive knowledge of classical symphonic music repertoire.
• You are dynamic and driven and do not shy away from innovation.
• You are well organized with strong management skills.
• You're an excellent planner and can handle budgets well.
• You maintain an active network in the international artistic world.
• You can lead a small team. Cooperation and teamwork are vital in your approach.
• You have a high sensitivity in interpersonal relationships.
• You understand that this is more than a fulltime job; a job not suitable for a part time engagement.
• Pro-activity, results and responsibility are important to you.
• Control of the English language spoken and written is a necessity. Thorough knowledge of Dutch is a plus or you are committed to quickly learn the Dutch language.
• Knowledge of German and French is a plus.
• Knowledge of the OPAS system is a plus.
• Interest in other performing arts and other musical genres is a plus.
What will you do?
• You are primarily responsible for the artistic policy.
• You are specifically involved in developing a vision for the future.
• Together with the chief conductor, the general manager, the senior advisor artistic affairs and the artistic committee you are working on and realizing a fascinating and contemporary artistic strategy.
• You are managing a team of employees. You organize the work in the department and ensure professional relationships with other departments.
• You are responsible for the realization of the concerts and media policy.
• You are responsible for budgets and planning of the concert series.
• You maintain and develop artistic functional networks.

Section Second Violin
Audition date:
October 18th, 2010, starting 10.00 a.m. with first round.
October 19th, 2010, starting 13.00 p.m. with second round.
Required repertoire:
W.A.Mozart: Violinconcerto nr. 3, 4 or 5: first movement without cadenza.
Orchestral excerpts (send to you if invited for the audition).
